There’s something special about Halloween in Oroville, where community spirit shines brightly, and local businesses and organizations come together to create a night of festive fun. One of the most anticipated events by Oroville's young ghosts and goblins is the annual downtown trick-or-treat celebration. Every Halloween, the Oroville WA Chamber of Commerce organizes this fun night, bringing together families, local businesses, and some good old-fashioned Halloween spirit.
In addition to the classic door-to-door trick-or-treating at our downtown shops, trunk-or-treat events are hosted throughout town. Halloween 2024 will include trunk or treats hosted by the Oroville Police Department and Oroville CARES in the Frontier Foods overflow parking lot and Hidden Addiction Tattoo hosts their trunk or treat in the Umpqua Bank parking lot. And for those wanting to get into the spirit a little earlier, check out Oroville High School FBLA's "Haunted Hallway" on Sunday October 27, 2024 at 6:00 - 8:30.
The Spirit of Small-Town Halloween
What makes Halloween in Oroville a truly special event is the sense of community it fosters. Neighbors greet neighbors, and even those who don’t have kids come out to join in the fun, making the night a town-wide celebration. There’s something heartwarming about seeing local shop owners, families, and volunteers all working together to create a memorable Halloween experience for the young and "young-at-heart".
